28 WATER PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

(1) The Department shall formulate an inte-
32 grated, coordinated Florida Water Plan for the
management of Florida's water resources. The
34 scone of the plan shall include the State Water
Use Plan and all other water-related activities of
36 the Department and Districts. It shall give due
consideration to the factors in Section 373.036(2),
(2) The Florida Water Plan shall be developed in
40 coordination with District. Water Management
Plans and include, at a minimum:
42 (a) Department overview, including a discus-
sion of the interrelationships of Department
44 and District programs:
(b) Water management goals and responsi-
46 abilities, including the following areas of re-
.48 (i) water supply protection and man-
150 (ii) flood protection and management.
(iii) water quality protection and man-
s52 ~ement. and
(iv) natural systems pro.,:ction and
(c) Statewide water management implemen.
56 station strategies for each area of responsibil-
158 (d) Intergovernmental coordination, includ-
ing the Department's processes for general

peditiouslv and may be phased. It. shall be com-

(4) At a minimum, the Florida Water Plan shall
84 be undated every five years after the initial plan
development. Annual status reports on the Plan
86 shall also be prepared by the Department.
