Dear Myron:

It is important, I feel, that we draft some type of letter that would be
suitable to send to the landowners whenever we have received an Order of
Taking from the Court. It does cause us quite a few problems, as well as
loss of time, money, energy, pumps and various other items, when an Order
of Taking has been issued and the landowners have not been notified by
their attorney, and when they have no way of informing us that they are
leaving the property.

I would like to recommend a draft letter similar to the following:

This letter is to inform you that an Order of Taking
has been issued on your property, which entitles the
Southwest Florida Water Management District to physical
possession of your property by

We would like to set up an appointment, on or before
above date, to meet with you on the property to pick
up the keys and formally take possession, so as to comply
with the Order of Taking; and thus eliminating vandals
from destroying and stealing items from the property.

Please comply at your earliest convenience by writing us
at P. O. Box 216, Brooksville, Florida, or by phoning us
at Tampa 229-2811.

Your assistance in helping us draft a letter that would make the Order of
Taking a little smoother with less misunderstanding will be greatly appreciated.

4 Sincerely your

O ERT L. ATSON
