Dear Don:

Here's the tax information you requested:

#1 Total amount of taxes collected including those received for both
District and Basin purposes

#2 Millages levied by both District and Basin. To find the total
millage levied for a Basin in any given year, add the District
millage to the Basin's for that particular year

#3 Amount of District taxes collected by county

4 Amount of Basin taxes collected by county

By adding the figures shown in #3 and #4, you should have a total that is
approximately equal those given in #1.

Because many counties within Southwest are divided into two or more Basins,
which may have varying millages, it is impractical for us to maintain a
record of Basin millages for a given county. These are, instead, kept by
Basin and the village rate for a particular county in any one year will show
different rates for each part of the county which lies in a different Basin.
District taxes, however, are uniform throughout for all counties.

Give me a call if you need further clarification.

Yours very truly,

VERGARA
Deputy Executive Director for
Interagency Coordination
