'Miss Benet Dies;
Rites Set Saturday
Miss MaryCarmen Benet, 90,. .28 Cuna St., died Wednesday, evening at her home. She was a native and lifelong resident of St. Augustine.
She w-as the.daughter of the" late Joseph Ravina Benet, who operated the Benet Grocery Store on St. George Street. Her father was the last member of his family to own the establishment, which was reconstructed on St. George Street several years ago by the Historic + Preservation Board. Called the: ,:Benet Store, it represents a' general store of the 19th century.
Miss Benet was a member of the Catholic church. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, at the Cathedral. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m., Friday, at the chapel of the Craig Funeral Home. Friends may call at the Craig chapel from 4 p.m., Friday.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Rena Haas, St. Augustine; ahnd three nephews, E. B. Benet,
