DIRECTIONS FOR TYPING PHOTOGRAPH CARDS November 14, 1984

HSAPB Classification
Put first the Block and Lot number, if one applies. If not,
put the classification code (to be determined). In the same space, to the right of the B&L number, put the 8SJ number, taken from the Florida Master Site File.

HSAPB Site Description
Put here the historic name of'the property, as reported to the Florida Master Site File or as determined by research. Beneath that, type the street address.

Subject
Any information about persons in the picture, event recorded, or direction from which the shot was taken, should go here. It might identify which face or corner of the property is shown, or describe the activity shown. Previous name of the property would go here.

Photographer, Sponsor, Date
If the photographer is known, his/her name goes here, along with any sponsor or sponsoring organization, the date of the photograph, and the photographer's series number, which is given during the shooting.

Technical Notes
Here is where any information is put that is known about the
materials used by the photographer, the finishes on the prints, the sizes and numbers of prints, the location of original negative (if not in our possession), and whether the print has been stored in the oversize file.

Photo Users, Dates
As copies are made of any photo, the date and purpose should be
recorded so there is a record of how and where the HSAPB photographs have been used, and by whom.

HSAPB Photo No.
This is the place for the negative number assigned when the photograph is accessioned.

Former Photo Nos.
If the photo comes from the National Archives or the Library of Congress it will have a number already, which should be put here.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------Prints may be mounted on either the front or the back of the card. Continuation of the information in any section should go on the back of the card (unless that is where the print is mounted) and be clearly identified.
