SUMMARY:
FIRST FLOOR
PUBLIC S(
Maintenance
.HOOL
The first floor is basically in good condition but neglect and vandalism has taken its toll. Most of the
doors, chalkboards, electrical, heating and plumbing systems have been removed with no care taken to
avoid damaging the surrounding areas. Also, much of the glass has been broken in many of the windows
and dpors.
The most serious damage has occurred in areas where there has been a high degree of water intrusion which
occur mainly in rooms located under the outdoor classrooms or adjacent to these areas. The damage can more
readily be seen in the restrooms and the old bandroom. In the water damaged areas there is severe spelling
and efflorescence of the plaster.
There is evidence of occasional human occupancy: trash is strewn throughout the building and the restrooms
areas show evidence of recent human use. Generally, even though the overall floor condition is good, the
interior finishes are in disrepair.
