Overview of the Digital Library Center space in the Smathers Library (June
28,2010)

Our department is broken down into several smaller areas which are: Bibliographic Control,
Imaging, Quality Control and Structural Metadata, OCR/Archiving and Metadata Enrichment,
Institutional Repository, and Newspapers. Generally these are one or two person areas, but are
complemented with part-time workers from grant funded projects and a small part-time budget.
Our space is large enough that daily production is not crowded.

The space housed 12 full time people, 11 in the Digital Library Center and the
UFDC/DLOC/DLC programmer.
