Cyclist rides across Amercia, honor fallen heroes

Ed Acevedo, an Army veteran and West Point graduate, and
Scott Nunn, a West Point classmate checks his cell phone for
weather forecasts.
Acevedo checks the air in his back tire as Nunn holds his bike steady.
His custom Waterford 1900 bicycle is built for long distance riding.
Acevedo makes sure all his supplies are packed in
his bags. He carries a tent, inflattable mattress and
clothes in his bags.
Acevedo departs Tyndall. His trip began in St. Augustine, Fla. March 23, and
plans to arrive in San Diego around mid-June.

rior of the Week award from Brig. Gen. Tod Wolters,
325th Fighter Wing commander.
Lieutenant Smith reviewed and altered personnel supervi-
sors within the squadron to prevent incorrect information on
Officer and Enlisted Performance Reports. She also volun-
teered to be an escort at the AETC Commander's Conference
here in March.

The Checkertail Salute is a 325th Fighter Wing
commander program designed to recognize
Tyndall's Warrior of the Week. Supervisors can
nominate individuals via their squadron and
group commanders. Award recipients receive
a certificate, letter from the commander and a
one-day pass.
