Effect of one application of heat on a 16 oz. \soft copper gutter instal-:
lation. Note the bulges on the side and bottom of the gutter and the
pinching effect at the point of stress where the copper sheet is bent.

The same gutter after 12 cycles of heating and cooling. The
pinch has now developed a visible crack in the copper.
