MEMO

TO: MARSHA, DR. GOLD

FROM: DAVID SCOTT

SUBJECT: HIRING A CLEANING SERVICE TO CLEAN THE PUBLIC RESTROOMS

I have arranged that we can hire a cleaning service to clean the

interiors of the Public Restrooms on St. George St. This will

cost $90 per week and hopefully will allow us to up-grade the

quality of maintenance in this area.

Because the contract frees some people from this unpleasant task,

I am asking that those energies be put towards increasing the

exterior cleanliness of the area. I will direct Phil on his

weekend duties in this area and I ask that Marsha try and get

James to cooperate. Furthermore, I plan to get maintenance to

steam clean and repaint the exterior front to upgrade the visual

impact of this area.

In the cleaning contract it is stated that we are responsible for

re-stocking supplies into the restrooms during the day. Please

see that someone checks at least daily or as often as needed. The

Board is also responsible for supplying the contract cleaner with

disposable supplies, so lets try and keep this working smoothly.

I know this issue is a little thing in the big picture, but it is

one of those deals that if it is done poorly it is noticed and

commented on. Conversely, if it is done well nobody notices. So

let's become invisible.
