Re: Upgrade of Arrivas alarm system
It has been necessary to re-assign space in the Arrivas House in
order to provide an office for the new MEPS.
As a part of this activity, certain valuable equipment such as
typewriters, projectors, cameras, and a computer will have to be
placed in what are now unprotected spaces.
The alarm system is currently composed of a
two motion detectors and an outside siren.
of the system although this is now feasible
central control panel,
There is no monitoring
with the new phone lines.
I would request that two additional motion detectors be added, one
in the south office, and the other in the west central. Also, that
a switch contact be placed on the door leading to the third floor.
I would also recommend that we consider the installation of smoke
detectors connected to the system, and having both intrusion and
smoke functions monitored by an independent company.
