NOTES ON ORDINANCE LOCATED AT OUTER GATE
ST. AUGUSINE, FLORIDA
There are two iron cannon tubes set in concrete mounts
immediately north of the coquina pylons. These tubes are mounted
upside down and both have large drain holes drilled through from
the outside to the bore.
The tube on the east side is marked 1847 on one trunnion end
and P over JSC on the other. The exterior is in fair condition,
the bore is heavily rusted.
The tube on the west side is marked 1848 on one trunnion end
and JSC on the other. It's condition is similar to the one on
the east side.
The inspection took place 12/20/88.
