In accordance with the terms of our contract of March
31, 1988, a copy of which is enclosed, we will pro-
ceed to conduct a structural and condition analysis
of the City's historic resources. The investigation
report will include our recommendations for any
repairs or other upgrading work that should be under-
taken to maintain the physical integrity and charac-
ter of the resources.

We will review the following resources:

all structures and objects in the Historic Plaza.

the Peck House.

Oglethorpe Monument and Park.

statuary at the Legion Hall, Anderson Circle, City
Hall, and the outskirts of the City on U.S. 1 North.

0 Lions at the Bridge of Lions.

the seawall along the Bayfront; walls surrounding
City Hall.

02 If I have excluded any properties that should be
investigated, please let me know.

Our objective will be to determine the condition of
the resources and recommend actions necessary to sta-
bilize or preserve them. If in our opinion there are
structural problems that require investigation by an
engineer or architect, we will advise such in the
report.

We anticipate that the work will require two days for the
investigations and preparation of the report.

Our recommendations will include a cost estimate for completing
any recommended stabilization work.

The compensation rate of $35.00 per hour provided for in the
1988 Contract will continue to apply.

We anticipate undertaking this work in approximately two weeks.
Please advise me if this proposal is acceptable to you and, if
so, whether we require a City Purchase Order before commencing
the work.

Sincerely,

William R. Adams
President
