Dear Mr. Steinbach:

My wife and I are appreciative that you are willing and able to offer your knowledge, experience and
time in assisting us in the identification & preservation of the tabby wall located on our property at 214
St. George Street We feel it is part of the history of St. Augustine, which should be preserved and
enjoyed by its residents and visitors.

As part of your fee and services which you have outlined for us, we ask that you also come up with a
description of this particular tabby wall which would be acceptable to the City of St. Augustine enabling
us to place a plaque on it for people to read. We also would like to approach whom ever in city
government to have them include this as one of the historic sites in St. Augustine. Your input as to how
and who we can contact would be greatly appreciated. We will be putting considerable money in its
preservation that should warrant some recognition.

One last thought in its preservation, I have been thinking it would be nice for viewers to actually see
part of the wall to lend a better understanding of its make up and appearance. What are your thoughts
of leaving the end of it exposed adjacent to the sidewalk for people to see dose up? It is open now,
and in excellent condition.

Whenever your schedule permits you the necessary time to begin and complete this project let us know
and we will make ourselves available. We are looking forward to meeting and working with you.

Sincerely,

Donald L. Bessey or Conale J. Bessey
