Memo to: Commission Members

From: Carl Hoefer, Chair-

Date: December 7, 1999

Subj.: Our December meeting (Dec. 15, 3:00 p.m.)

First, thanks to all of you who attended the City Conmmission meeting in October. We
have eliminated the deadlock regarding location of the redoubt site and the City Commission has
turned the wheels of progress loose.

On December 6, the ad hoc committee to outline the consultants (engineering, etc.)
requirements (Cubbedge, Adams, Thomas & Hoefer) met and reworked a draft instigated by
Messrs. Adams and Cubbedge. It outlines what the City will advertise and establishes a weighted
analysis system for the Presidio Commission's review of the submittals. A copy of this document
will be ready for our December meeting.

We also discussed a likely timetable. We hope to have requests for proposals out by the
third week of December, responses in by February 1t, and analysis completed by March 1st or
earlier, and our recommendation ready for the City Colmmission directly after that, probably the
last March meeting or the first in April.

Your SPECIAL ATTENTION is called to the start time of the December meeting, a half
hour earlier than normal (still in the Government 2nd floor conference room). That is so that those
who wish, can attend the Greenways presentation in City Hall.

See you on the 15th!
