Dear Mr. Cianfoni,

I have just returned from taking the measurements of the statue of
Ponce de Leon. Two gentlemen from the maintenance department of the City of
St. Augustine actually did the measurements while I recorded them.
I do not handle heights very well. The measurements we recorded are:

Height of statue :
Length of sword:
Length of handle to
holster:
Length of holster:
Band around tip of
sword (height):
Thickness of sword at top
of blade:

On the north face of the pedestal are the words: The Discoverer of Florida

On the south face of the pedestal, which is the back side, it says:
Presented To The City of St. Augustine By Andrew Anderson M. D. 1923.

If I can help you with any other details, please let me know. Be sure
to visit our agency if you should come to St. Augustine. It is located only
one block from the statue at the opposite end of the plaza.
