MEMO MARCH 10, 1989

TO: HECTOR R MI RON

FROM: DAVID SCOTT"

SUBJECT: AC EXTENSION IN AUDITORIUM

To review ,our disc ussion this morni ngc conc earning how to treat

what is now a visual intrusion in the auditorium; the foil

covered AC duct work that extends out of the fire wall t::: the

north.

I stated that the reason the duct work was there was to feed the

ticket booth and pr o.jec t i on booth that used to be against the

north wall and separated from the auditorium. We have, of

course, removed the wall that sen rated the rooms making the dluc:t

work as now configured somewhat awkward.

I wanted to remove the duct work back to the fire wall and put a

grill on the wall. The grill and labor to remove the duct and

install the grill would be $225.,

You pointed out that because of the planned installation of

portable accordion walls that we would still have to feed that

north area and you thought that a grill placed as I suggested

would not be sufficient to feed that area. You suggested that we

box in the duct work and thereby make it less of a visual

intrusion. I will proceed along those lines as per your request.
