Dear Mr. Scaringe:

Please accept this as a letter of interest for providing professional
services for the referenced project. I have inspected the site with Mr.
Robert Steinbach of the Historic St. Augustine Preservation Board, and I am
aware of the scope of life safety and renovation work required. I believe
this firm is well-qualified to provide professional services, particularly
since we have worked with Bob and the HSAPB on several preservation pro-
jects in the past.

Government House is a beautifully crafted example of an approach to
architectural design and historic preservation fifty years ago. It is also
one of the few surviving examples of the work of the late Mellon Greeley,
who is considered the dean of architects in Jacksonville. It would be a
distinct privilege to preserve as well as renovate this important building.
