The Honorable D. RB Matthews
Congress of the United States
Rouse of Representatives
Washington, D. C.
Dear Billy:
I have a oopy of your letter to Mr. Hahn,
and as delighted that you will be here Raster
Sunday, April 18. I hope also you will be able
to come over on April 24.25, for the great Pan
Ameritan meeting which will be held here at
that time in honor of the Ambassadors to the
O,A. S.
I understand that the Post Office process
has run down again and seems to have stalled.
I understand that the property cannot be turned
loose until official announcement has been Uade
that the contract has been awarded o the low
bidder. The low bidder has his aoney all ready
to pay over to the owner of the property, but
cannot do so pending official notification. The
owner of the property then has 60 days to vacate.
He has beoome very restless, since his business
has been destroyed during the waiting prooes., I
wonder what is holding things up in Washington?
Cordially,

Earle W. Newton
Executive Director
