Dear Mr. Newton:
The National Archives has located the negative of the 1900
photograph of the building at St. Augustine then known as
the U. S. Custom House and Post Office Building, about which
we wrote you on January 27. A copy is enclosed. W. A. Cox
of the Eastman Kodak Agency in St. Augustine took the picture.
Our research has just been completed. The information is now
being analyzed. We expect to send you a report of our find-
ings within 10 days or two weeks. Other visual material,
including plats, drawings, and photostats of contracts, has
been assembled and will accompany the report, documenting
various stages in the building's history.
