Upon receiving your letter of October 29
I contacted the Bureau of Facilities concerning the
Post Office situation, but, as yet, clearance has
not been issued to Atlanta. They are still holding
our proposal in abeyance, but have promised to notify
me just as soon as a decision has been reached. If
I don't hear something by the first of the:week, I am
going to call again.
I think your suggestion for meeting with the
new Director of the National Park Service is fine,
and I shall certainly be happy to get with Senator
Holland on this. As you suggested, I believe January
will be the best time.
Looking forward to seeing you again soon, and
with kind personal regards, I am
D. MATTHEWS, C.
