Minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Llambias
House, held in the office of H. E. Wolfe, on >) 1lj/

Those present were H. E. Wolfe, C. Ray Vinten, Alfred Houston,
and X. L. Pellicer.

The meeting was called to order by X. L. Pellicer who stated
that this meeting was being held for the purpose of considering the
adoption of a Resolution whereby the Trustees of the Llambias House would
authorize the St. Augustine Historical Preservation and Restoration Asso-
ciation to make certain renovations and improvements to the Llambias House
on St. Francis Street, the entire cost of which was to be borne by the
Restoration Association.

There followed considerable discussion, in which Mr. Wolfe and
Mr. Vinten expressed the opinion that if permission were granted by the
Trustees, the Res6lution should provide certain reservations that would
permit the Trustees to have a voice in the work to be done and the amount
of money to be expended.

As a result of this discussion, the following Resolution was
offered by Mr. Alfred Houston, seconded by Mr. C. Ray Vinten, and unani-
mously adopted:

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the St. Augustine Historical Preservation and Restora-
tion Association desires to undertake the preservation and restoration of
the Llambias House and expend some of the funds appropriated by the State
of Florida for the preservation and restoration of historical sites and
landmarks, and
WHEREAS, the Llambias House in its present condition is not in
a physical condition to be used for any of the purposes for which it was
given in trust to the City of St. Augustine, and the Trustees of said house
have determined that it'is to and for the best interest of the Trust that
the St. Augustine Historical Preservation and Restoration Association be
given the permission and authority to proceed with the work of preservation
and restoration which will probably require the removal of the south wing
attached to the house, which is relatively a modern addition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the
Llambias House that the St. Augustine Historical Preservation and Restora-
tion Association be, and it is hereby given the permission and authority to
proceed with the preservation and restoration of the Llambias House, restore
the gardens, and erect any appropriate outbuildings required by such restora-
tion, under the supervision of a competent historical architect, such per-
mission and authority to include the right to remove the south wing attached
to the said house if it is determined that the preservation and restoration
of the original house requires such removal;
