April 18, 1948.
Mr. X. Pellicer,
St. Augustine National Bank,
St. Augustine, Fla.

Dear Mr. Pellicer;-

The writer had the pleasure of being
your guest at the Rotary Club lunch in March and the
opportunity of casually talking about Historical
St. Augustine and the need of an unusual eating place
with atmosphere and good food. I have given this matter
considerable thought and am keenly sold on the idea
of the project.

The various places that I saw that
had age, possible historic atmosphere, location, parking
facilities, traffic count- the one place stands out
most clearly- "The Llombias House". I went over this place
'three times and believe it offers what is needed. I am
prepared to suggest a program for this venture if you
believe anything could be accomplithdd. The Historical
Society should be willing to make the necessary repairs
such as replacing broken doors; windows, paiting the outside
woodwork for the reservation of the building and the
painting of the inside. I would be willing to furnish the
inside- which would necessitate furniture, kitchen equipment
etc. I believe some kind of a set-up might be provided whereby
the Historical Association and other interested parties
might derive a benefit- either by income from lease- should
be for at least five years with option to renew or by
a fixed percentage of the income. This set-up would provide
for the upkeep of the place, make another added attraction
for St. Augustine tnd above all else an outstanding place
to dine.

Would appreciate hearing from you
on the above.

Cordially yours,
