11 December 1946
Mr. A. J. Hanna, Director
Winter Park, Florida
Your letter of November 26, 1946 advising me of the avail-
ability of Dr. Ivanissevich. This letter vas received during
my absence from the Bank on a five day visit to Miaui, and did
not come to my attention until yesterday, and the time is too
short now to make any arrangements.
I vould appreciate it if you would vrite me at your con-
venience vhen it might be possible for you to come to St.
Augustine and attend a meeting of the Trustees of the Llambias
House. Mr. Houston has returned to St. Augustine, and it is
necessary, of course, that we have a meeting to recommend some-
one to fill the place of Judge Gibbs and to make some definite
arrangements about the house.
I have arranged with The St. Augustine Historical Society
to lean up the grounds and do some essential things on the
house, such as repairs to a portion of the roof that vas damaged
during the last storm. The expenses of this vill be borne by
the Historical Society.
Now that we have received the $45,000. from the State for
the Restoration, there is anite t bit of aitation to revive
this p am In some way. T s a partleularly true or our
amuua iend, Walter B. Fraser. In my judgment a portion of
this money can be appropriately expended on the Llambias House,
and it is possible that we could consider entering into an
agreement with the Restoration group for them to use the Llambias
House as a meeting place and office. All of these things can
be discussed at the meeting of the Trustees of the Llambias House,
which should be held some time in January.
Assuring you of my kind regards,
