Administrator of Philip R. Yonge to Edmond Aubril
Conveyance of House and Lot in St. Augustine
June 5, 1853

This indenture made the fifth day of June in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and fifty three, Between Andrew Yonge,
administrator of all and Singular the Goods and Chattels, Lands and
Tenements and assets which were of Philip R. Yonge, deceased,
party of the first part, and Rev. Edmond Aubril, vicar general of
the Diocese of Savannah and Florida, party of the second part,
Witnesseth that whereas, Hon. ( ?) Humphreys, Judge of
Probate of the County of St. Johns, heretofore, to wit: on the
24th day of April, 1853, made an Order under his hand and seal of
office, Ordering that the said administrator have leave to Sell the
Real Estate herein after described--and whereas after due Publication
of Notice of Such Sale in a Newspaper called the Ancient City, the
Premises hereinafter described, in pursuance of Such Order of
Sale, were offered for Sale on the 23rd day of May, 1853, at Public
Auction in Front of the Court House in the City of St. Augustine,
and at Such Sale the said party of the Second part became the
Purchaser of the Said Premises; for the Price and Sum of Eight
Hundred and Thirty Eight Dollars, that being the highest Sum bid for
the Same:

Now therefore, this Indenture Witnesseth, that for and in Considera-
tion of the Sum of Eight Hundred and Thirty Eight Dollars paid by the
said party of the Second part, the Receipt whereof is hereby acknow-
ledged, I, the said party of the first part administrator as aforesaid,
Do Hereby sell and Convey unto the Said Edmond Aubril, all the
following described Parcel and Premises situate in the City of St.
Augustine and County of St. Johns,

To wit: all that certain House and Lot on George Street, bounded
on the East by George Street, on the West by Tolomato Street, on
the north by Lots of Estate of Joseph Hunter, and Peter (T)rope,
and on the South by the lot of the United States Court House, with
all the Rights, Privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging; and
all the Right, Title, Interest and Estate of the said Philip R. Yonge,
at the time of his death in the Same: To Have and To Hold the above
granted and described Premises with the appurtenances; and all the
Estate, Right and Interest which the deceased, at the time of his









Death had therein, unto the Said party of the Second part, and
his heirs and assigns, forever, as fully and as amply as the
said party of the first part, might, could or ought to Sell and
Grant the same, by virtue of the Order above recited, and the
Statute of this State in Such Case made and provided or otherwise.
