QUATERNARY

fine to medium grained.

Qu Undifferentiated surficial sands, clayey sands, clays,
marls and peats >20 feet thick. No formations
recognized.

QUATERNARY/TERTIARY

or Ocala Limestone. Often karstified with some of the karst
features containing Hawthorn Group sediments.

TERTIARY

Th Hawthorn Group. Sandy clays, silt, occasional carbonates.
May locally contain phosphate and is variably weathered.

Th Tampa Member of the Arcada Fm., Hawthorn Group.
generally a sandy (quartz) limestone with very low to
no phosphate content. Variably Fossiliferous.
Ts Suwannee Limestone Fossiliferous limestone varies
from poorly recrystallized to well recrystallized,
packstone to grainstone. Minor siliciclastic component.

To Ocala Limestone. White to gray, fossiliferous, moldic
limestone. Variable from a wackestone to grainstone.
