Mr. Earle W. Newton
St. Augustine Restoration, Inc.
46 St. George St.
At. Augustine, Pla.

Dear Mr. Newt6n:

Many thanks for your letter of Oct;. 25th inquiring
after-my state of affairs with Mr. Daniell. You
will be pleased to hear that I received a certified
check from Mr. Daniell just a couple of days ago for
the full amount he owed us.

After writing you my previous letter, someone else
also from St. Augustine was in our store & also
promised to help me, a Mr. Daniel Holiday. In the
meantime I also rec'd letters from Mr. Johnson, City
Manager, reassuring me of help & ligal counsel, &
also advising me that Mayor Bailey had been informed
of the matter & also that a citizens' committee was
going to take up the matter.

So what with all the help from all of you, we managed
to settle this matter peacefully,. My heartfelt thanks
to you & everyone involved. I have also written tp
Mr. Johnson advising him of the settlement & thanking
him. I personally am glad about the whole thing & that
we can hold in esteem the St. Augustine community. Neid-
less to say, if ever we can be of help to you on this end,
do not hesitate to call upon us.
