removal to Engl.,nd, the estate of 21 Bergel and
other properties revert to the 2panisn crown. The
executors Leslie ?nd Travers explain that part of
property ser rani non posauint (probably secrv-re is
correct form, msre'n- ir.T i "they can not protecte) the
houses going to ruin from neglect, & Governor
ordered appraisal and sale for benefit of Royal
Treasury latter o'rt of 1790. One of the houses '
of coquina with lot on St. Charles St., bounded by
said street in front, 3'. by -ato Guadarrama, N. by
Mizuel Ysnardy, W, by Yanuel Almanza and others--
measuring N-S 20 yds, -W 522 -- bid in by Pablo
Cortinas. The executors renounced their rights
and the Governor gives title by these presents,

William Slater: Native of England, he avails of Spanish protection to pass to the
British Dominions; he has a wife and two sons (or children) his profession merchant
and public storekeeper, he has five hundred acres of land on the St. Mary's River
about four miles from its mouth, with documents of title, he has a house and grounds,
his property, which he inhabits, Qn Charlotte Street; he has nine piecesa)laves and
three horses. (Note). He sent out a slave named Sylvia.
