2. Structure is Spanish Colonial Reconstruction, 1965, Casa del

3. Application to replace the center window on St. George Street
with french doors. (See attached photographs and elevation)

"Doors shall effectively reproduce the treatment of doors in
existing or documented 1821 or earlier structures..." Page 43

5. Application to relocate picket fence approximately fifteen (15)
feet to create an open courtyard. Existing fence is open
picket and is stained Tudor-Brown. (See attached plan and
elevation)

6. Architectural Guidelines for Historic Preservation

Fences, Walls and Gates Pre-1821

"Fences shall be constructed at wooden pales, or pickets,
stakes, boards, and clapboards... fences shall be painted white
or left unpainted." Page 36

7. Application to install lap siding to match existing on second
floor gallery to enclose end for restroom. (See attached plan
and photographs)

8. Architectural Guidelines for Historic Preservation

Entries, Porches, Balconies and Steps Pre-1821

"The original porch or gallery of the structure shall be
maintained." Page 46

9. Application to install four (4) air conditioning units.
Screening of units is not indicated on the site plan. Board
pre-approved guidelines allow staff approval of mechanical
equipment screened by a fence, wall or lattice at least six (6)
inches higher than the installed unit.

Energy and Utility Considerations Pre-1821

"...HVAC and other mechanical equipment shall be concealed or
designed... to be as unobtrusive as possible." Page 47
