Previously all rst responders on St. John depended on being able to get to St. omas to buy oxygen. is is, of course, impossible when a storm happens. is equipment was made possible by contributions from local donors, St. John Rescue, the Rotary Club of St. John, the Rotary e-Club of Puerto Rico y Las Americas, the Rotary Club of Buckhannon West Virginia, Rotary Districts 7000, 7020, 7530, and e Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. St. John Rescue hosted an open house on September 8, 2013 for the ocial ribbon cutting. It was attended by numerous rst responder representatives, and Rotary dignitaries involved in the project.
