Tip of the Month:
Cutting Costs on Utility Bills
Ifts almost spring time and that means the temperature is rising
and so are your utility bills. Here are a few tips to keep those bills
down as you finish the semester.
* Keep air conditioning filters clean and remove debris away
from your unit that could prevent airflow
* If you did not do it in the fall, have you're A/C unit serviced
this spring. Speak with your landlord or management if it
hasn't been serviced or isn't working properly.
* Turn off hghts when you leave a room and unplug appli-
ances you are not using
* Keeo a watch or clock near your shower to use less water

Spring Break Safety
* Let someone (family member, friend, employer, etc.) know where
you are going, when you are leaving, and when you will be back
* If traveling to another country, take some time to learn about their
laws and customs
* Remember to lock all the doors and windows to your residence
before you leave
* Make sure all your pets have enough food and water or have a way
to ensure they are taken care of over the break

Get the Facts During National Nutrition Month
This year's slogan, "Nutrition: It's a Matter of Fact,"
encourage individuals to look beyond nutrition myths
and focus on the facts. GatorWell Health Promotion
Services and other campus groups are focusing on the
importance of fruits and vegetables and facts about
portion sizes The campaign will showcase nationally-
renowned speaker Dr. Jean Kilbourne on March 24 at
7:30 p.m. in the Reitz Union Grand Ballroom.

Off Campus Life Survey Still Open
You can still give Off Campus Life your feedback on programs,
initiatives, and new innovations so we can improve what our office
does for you. We ask that you take a few minutes of your time to
answers the questions in the survey if you haven't already done so.
The first 5 and last 5 students to complete the survey will receive a
new video iPod nano. Again we appreciate your feedback and thank
you for taking the time to help us get some information about off
campus students.

Great Gator Neighbors
There are a lot of students that are citizens of the Gainesville community
who are good Gator neighbors. Our Great Gator Neighbor program
will highlight a different student each month to showcase the involve-
ment, achievement, and service of those students living in Gainesville.

Check out the Great Gator Neighbor nomination forms:
