The Camellia Rose Inn
This Queen Ann house was built in 1903 by Thomas 1. Swearingen and was known for decades as the Swearingen House. At the time, the house had a one-story kitchen located in a separate building behind the main house. Its owner, Swearingen was the first owner of an automobile dealership in Gainesville. He lived in the house for fifteen years. The house was sold several times during the next sixty years, and the house sustained many transformations. Finally, in 1978 its new owner restored it to its original condition. In 2006, it was sold again and it was transformed into a Bed & Breakfast and became the Camellia Rose Inn. http://www.camelliaroseinn.com/?page id=10
