STAFF COMMENTS


1. Existing land use is commercial.

2. Structure is British Colonial, 1969, Blacksmith Shop, 8SJ526.

3. Application to install windows. Applicant proposes to enlarge
existing window openings, remove "bars" and remove shutters,
and to install six over six (6 over 6) Arma-seal windows. (See
attached window schedule.

4. Alternate application to install lexan or plexiglass in existing
window openings. Detail drawings of the proposed installation
have not been submitted to the Planning and Building Department.

5. Architectural Guidelines for Historic Preservation:

Windows

Pre-1821

"Windows shall effectively reproduce the treatment
of windows in existing or documented 1821 or
earlier structures in the City or its environs."

6. Application to install a ten (10) feet by twelve (12) feet
canvas awning on the west facade of structure. (See attached
sketches)

7. Application to install a sign. One face of the sign contains
a "lighthouse" graphic, while the other face contains a "duck
and cattails" graphic. Colors are preapproved with custom
letters. (See attached sketches)
