Gentlemen:

The bidding documents and supporting data for this project have been reviewed
and are approved for release for bidding. This approval is based upon your
assurance that an acceptable base bid will be received within the approved
construction budget. The approval does not imply responsibility for nor attest
to compliance with the applicable provisions of the Fire Safety Standards of the
State Building Code, accessibility standards, applicable codes, rules, regulations,
laws-and ordinances, and program requirements and does not relieve the design prok
fessional or his consultants of any of their responsibilities.

You are authorized to release the project for bid. The bidding date, time and
location is shown in the attached advertisement. Please ensure this advertisement
is placed in appropriate local newspapers.

Personally solicit bidder participation by telephone and by use of individually
addressed Invitations to Bid. Each invitation shall be typed on your letterhead
in the prescribed format.

--- Be sure to transmit to the Project Director all addenda as they are issued.

Please prepare bid tabulation forms in the prescribed format for distribution
to bidding officials and bidders at the bid opening. A sample form is attached
for your information.

THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES DIVISION OF

BUILDING CONSTRUCTION AND PROPERTY MANAGEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION

OF

PROJECT: Haas House Renovation and Installation of Concrete Floor

Slab at Government House, East Wing, St. Augustine, Florida. Project

NO. DOS-8375/8376.

FOR: Historic St. Augustine Preservation Board.

PREQUALIFICATION: All bidders must submit prequalification data

of their eligibility to submit proposals five (5) calendar days

prior to the bid opening date if not previously qualified by the

Division for the current biennium (July 1 thru June 30) of odd

number years.

Sealed bids will be received, publicly opened and read aloud on:

DATE AND TIME: February 21, 1984 Until 11:00 A.M.local -time.

PLACE: Historic St. Augustine Preservation Board Room, Second

Floor, Government House, St. Augustine, Florida.

PROPOSAL: Bids must be submitted in full in accordance with the

requirements of the Drawings, Specifications, Bidding Conditions

and Contractual Conditions, which may be examined and obtained
