RCC production ror the group and
mass media is in the local dialect
(Visayan).

Training

The RCC conducts training
on the use of low-cost commu-
nication media in development
efforts for extension workers,
teachers and change agents.


The RCC undertakes baseline
surveys for the Xavier Univer-
sity College of Agriculture
Extension Service as a basis
for program planning by the
farmers and the extension
workers.

The RCC offers subjects*
in Development Communication
to students majoring in
Development Communication.

ine RCC coordinates with
government (e.g. Ministry of
Agriculture, Ministry of
Health) and private agencies
to maximize efforts in some of
its areas of involvement.

The RCC is staffed by three professionals
in the various fields of communication.
It taps students majoring in development
communication to assist the RCC staff in
carrying out RCC's objectives. In
this way, too, the students are exposed
to actual situations which they most
probably will encounter when they are
already working as full-pledged
development communicators.
