From: Gayle Prevatt

Bob, today I went through the DeMesa-Sanchez house. I had dis-
cussed with you earlier the fact that I had recieved a phone call from an
upset loaner who insisted that some of the items he had loaned to us for
display in the house were not in their assigned places and that he had
been told.they were taken by Teresa Cammareri for her own use.
I have checked for these items and found that of the eight antique
sweetgrass table matts which were loaned to us, two are missing. I certainly
hope that Teresa has not taken them as I have been told. Please check
into this matter.

I was also disturbed to see ample evidence of use of the furniture:
wearing and snags on upholstry, broken ribbons on almost every chair in the
house, stains on the mosquito netting in the master bedroom(which was brand
new when I put it there this past spring) and my own domino set with it's
hand stitched box has been squashed flat by somebody's feet then left lying
there on the floor in the child's bedroom in that position.
Many items had been moved from room to room and furniture was re-
arranged in some places. There were coffee rings on many inside window sills
and the entire house looked as though it had not been cleaned in months.

Of course I know you must be unaware of the extent of these problems
or you would have taken steps to safeguard our investment already. Now
that I have brought these problems to your attention I hope you will
provide assistance to me as I endeavor to clean up this exhibit. g

From now on, I will spend every Friday in the DeMesa-Sanchez house,
providing for the care of our furniture and the furniture on loan to us.
Please consider assigning someone to clean the floors, windows and related
maintence on the same.day. In this manner, we can quickly rectify the
problem and I can provide assistance to whomever is cleaning.
Thank you Bob for your assistance.

Sincerely,

attachment
