RE: DeMesa-Sanchez House Restoration (Do5 200)
In response to the comments by Mr. Carl Morgan, DGS Project Director, we
have revised the technical and non-technical specifications for this pro-
ject to delete references to the Owner as being the General Contractor and
have indicated that the Owner will function as Construction Coordinator.
Also, we revised the proposed Owner-Contractor Agreement and the Modifica-
tions and Additions to the Agreement and General Conditions.
A copy of the revised proposed contract and the modifications and additions
is enclosed for your comments. These documents have important legal con-
sequences, and we recommend that you review them with your legal counsel
and advise us of any adjustments or modifications required.
I am sorry that we have not been able to send you a set of prints for per-
mit purposes as you requested. Evans and Hammond have their tracings and
have been awaiting your return from vacation to discuss the disposal of the
well water with you so that they can make adjustments as necessary. We ex-
pect to be able to get the prints to you shortly.
Please advise us as soon as possible regarding the contract and modifications
so that we can release the construction documents for your use in bidding.
By copy of this letter, we are also sending Mr. Carl Morgan a copy of the
revised proposed contract and modifications and additions to the contract
and general conditions. We also request his comments regarding these docu-
