The Historical St. Augustine Preservation Board,
46 St. George Street,
St. Augustine,Florida 32084

Dear Sir;

I wrote to the Chamber of commerce for information on the house in the
enclosed photograph and that body referred me to your Board as the most
lik* source of this data.

I am interested in getting the name of the builder of this house and the
date,if pbssible,of its construction.I am not interested in a detailed
history of these facts, just an outline for my records and that of a
friend of mine. It is my desire to coorelate,if possible, some of the
early Spanish settlers in this area with those of the same name who were
in the pioneer group of Saint Augustine.

I made the enclosed photographs in 1945 to 1958,during one of my three
tours of duty in Florida. I cannot be certain at this time just when I
madethe pictures.I do know that it was not earlier than 1945 or later
than 1958.

The photograph of the house having all the angles is the picture of the
rear of the house on which the door is located. The coat of arms bearing
the name"Salazar" and the other figures demonstrated on the coat of Arms
may assist you in finding the place in which I am interested.

Your assistance will be appreciated.

Thank you.
