The Governor and Cabinet, sitting as Head of the Department of General Services
on June 26, 1979, authorized the Executive Director, Department of General Services,
to approve all force account items in connection with administrative and statutory
duties of the Department and to report such actions to the Governor and Cabinet
on a monthly basis. In accordance with this authorization, approval is hereby
granted to accomplish this work using Force Account Procedures for the project
below.

Authority for the Historic St. Augustine Preservation Board, Department of State
to encumber and expend an amount not to exceed $49,065.00 for reconstruction of
De Hita House at St. Augustine, project number DOS-0504. Payment will be made
from 2-455-0503.

This work will be accomplished using Force Account Procedures,
issuing purchase orders for materials, supplies, rental of equipment
and employing extra labor as necessary, all in compliance with the
rules and regulations of the Division of Purchasing, and with Uniform
Standards for the Conduct of Force Account Work.

FORCE ACCOUNT PROJECT


The Bureau of Construction has received the Construction plans and
support information for this project.

These items have been reviewed and I am recommending these plans for
approval as required by Section 255.25(1), Florida Statutes, subject
to remarks or exceptions listed on reverse. Approval of the plans and
specifications attests to the fact that they are considered satisfactory
with reference to the requirements of this department outlined in the
A & E Guide. Such approval does not imply responsibility for, nor
attest to the accuracy of details or dimensions, the proper selection
of materials, or compliance with applicable codes and ordinances, and
does not relieve the Architect, Engineer, or User Agency of any of their
responsibilities.

Approved for construction by Force Account and expend an amount not
to exceed that shown on each Schedule of Values or total amount of
$49,065.00 Proceed as per Uniform Standards for Conduct of
Force Account and when advised by the Department of Administration
that encumbered funds have been released. Please inform this
Department as to the progress of this project on your Quarterly Report
due September 30, 1979 Completion date March 30, 1980.
