Lorenzo Joseph Gomes [also spelled Gomez] Born or Baptized September 2, 1733 in
Saint Augustine.

Parents Pedro Gomes of the Archbishopric of Ersija [?] Erisa [?] Eussa [?],
Sevilla, Spain. Pedro Gomes was in the artillery in 1752. Forty-
nine years old at that time--he had served since August 2, 1721.
The 1770 document (cited below) lists him as an infantry soldier
and states that he died in Havana.

Getrudis Perigurino [?] (must be error for Rodriguez). Two out of
three Cathedral Parish documents give her name as Maria Gertrudis
Lorenzo [y Rodriguez] of Saint Augustine, daughter of Francisco
Lorenzo of France and Michaela Rodriguez of Saint Augustine, while
the third document gives her names as Getrudis Perigurino [?].
She was born in 1712 in Saint Augustine and married Pedro Gomes on

Lorenzo Gomez [Gomes] was an Infantry soldier. In a 1766 document (see below) he
appears on a list of individuals and heads of families, who are found without
position, destination or work. The document gives the position the person former-
ly had in the Presidio of Saint Augustine--in the case of Lorenzo, the infantry.
The 1770 document (cited below) also lists him as an infantry soldier.
