Mr. Fred Harris
Tepee Town
12 Castillo Drive
St. Augustine, FL 32084

Dear Mr. Harris:

During our meeting and on-site examination this morning of the possible
location of your sign on the west wall of the Rahner property I agreed to
accept the shift of location of the sign presently on the bracket over Fort
Alley to the west (rear) wall of the building. In the new location the
sign would be at its present height and the edge of it would be at the north-
west corner of the building.

While at the present time this new location would make the sign visible
from the yard of the Gallegos House, it would appear to be no more intrusive
on the scene than in its present location. You will recall that I pointed
out to you that our planting plan for the Gallegos House calls for screening
vegetation along our east wall, not in response to your sign, but in order
to isolate the Gallegos yard from the electric meters, downspouts, and other
features of the rear of the Rahner building. You acknowledged this and felt
that if your sign was obscured from this angle, it would not be significant.

I trust that this arrangement will be acceptable to the City Building
Inspector and the city's Historic Preservation Committee.

Sipcerely,
