Present lot 1, Block 7, has 95' (Approx. 32 varas), and Puente Map lots 75,
76 and 77 have 36 varas.

1. 1764 Puente Map

#75 Casa de ripio de Juan Garcia Martunez Gallegos 14 x 71.

3. 1765 ca. Moncrief map shows: Mr. Fish.

4. /A. Joaquin Martinez, Rosalia Martinez y Lucia Escalona piden certification
de no haber vendido la casa y el solar de San Agustin. (Havana, a 24 de
abril de 1784.)

B. Joaquin y RosaliaaMartinez otorgan poder a favor de su tia Lucia
Escalona para que reclame el solar que les pertenace en San Agustin.
(Havana, a 10 de marzo de 1784).

SC. Juan Frias, natural de Menorca y resident de San Agustin, habia
recibido un terreno que repartieron dicidndo que era de Don Luciano de
Herrera, y que ahora Lucia Escalona alega ser suyo. El esta dispuesto
a entregarlo siempre que Lucia Escalona pruebe su derecho a la propiedad
y le reintegre el valor de los frutos que tiene sembrados. (San
Agustin, al de septiembre de 1784.)

D. Lucia Escalona present escrito como apoderado de Joaquin Martinez y
de Jose Jimenez, marido de Rosalia Martinez, aportando las pruebas dd
su propiedad y ofreciendo como testigos a viejos residents de San
Agustin. (San Agustin, septiembre 4, de 1784.)

E. San Agustin:

S For Auto de 28 de abril de 1800 se le entrega formalmente el solar a
Lucia Escalona.

A. Joaquin Martinez, Rosalia Martinez and Lucia Escalona ask for a
certification that they did not sell their house and lot in St. Augustine.
(Havana, April 24, 1784)

B. Joaquin and Rosalia Martinez give power to their aunt Lucia Escalona in
order to claim the lot they own in St. Augustine, (Havana, iMarch 10, 1784)

C. Juan Frias, native of Menorca and resident of St. Augustine, had received
a lot from a partition they said belonged to Don Luciano de Herrera
estate, and that Lucia Escalona says now it is her property. He is ready
to give it back to her if she can prove what she says and allow him to
collect the fruits he had planted. (St. Augustine, September 1, 1784)

D. Lucia Escalona presents writing as being in power of attorney of Joaquin
Martinez and Jose Jimenez, husband of Rosalia Martinez, giving proof of
their ownership and offering as witness three old residents of St.
Augustine. (St. Augustine, September 4, 178h)

E. St. Augustine. On April 28, 1800, the Order is issued to give back
the lot to Lucia Escalona.

5. 1788 Rocque map shows:

#1l. Timber-frame house, in good condition, owned by Da. Lucia Escalona;
with deed and land that it cites. (Four room house directly on corner
with two rooms, probably kitchen back of house and to south edge of lot.
Described as house of wood in good condition belonging to Dofa Lucia
Escalona with deed and land as mentioned.

Note: Next south adjoining it is a vacant lot belong to Nicolasa G6mez, who
owned the stone house on the north lot of the "Port block" (F?) which is
the block north of Park (Fort?) Alley. Her stone house was nearest the
eity Gate, and was standing within memory of a number of residents of the
oldest type. Believed to have been torn down in the 1870's.

-P. 70 Will, Sept. 2h. Lucia Escalona, mentions house she owns (but not
the lot, except small part) situated on St. George St. near land gate,
which bounds it W; lane to Castle square on N; Antonia Perdomo S; Castle
Square #. The lot belongs to Joaquin and Rosalia Martinez, her newphew
and niece.

#41 Wooden house built by Lucia Escalona on King's lot, bounded:
E., W., and N. by Royal Streets, S. by lots of the King and Antonia
Perdomo. 16 1/2 (N-S) x 77 1/2 varas at (?) xx sq. v. .. . . 639 3/h

(On margin: By Act of this day on petition of Luc'ia Escalona, this lot was

P. 594 v. Mortgage Nov. 7 Lucia Escalona mortgages as security for her
annual payments house on King's lot #h1, Block 7, measuring NS 16 1/2 yards,
E-W 77 1/2. Lot is bounded E-W and N by Royal roads, S by King's lot and
Antonia Perdomo.

P. 513 Will. Aug. 3. Lucia Escalona (widow of John DarAr (this is the
name as amended in margin in the MS. it looks more like Hardy.) She owns
house on King's lot and claims to have documentary proof but obscured when
it was transferred to the English", etc.

E-W by the Calle Heal, S. by King's lot and of Dora Antonia Perdomo; its
measurement in front N-S sixteen and a half yards and depth EW twenty-seven
(?)yards and a half, which amounts to . . . . .. .. .. .. .. -279

Note: By title of May (?) 1800 in proceedings (instituted?) by Dora Lucia
this lot was (adjudged) in her favor and that of her principals.
