Assignment No. 5: July Research
July 17, 1963

Mr. Newton:

Here is one half of latest assignments. No. 5 to
continue the count from June research.

No. 6 will be comprised of Aviles Street, Bl "S" and
connecting areas.

This is a more detailed report than the 1st.
I decided to take it thru for you to Rocque, 1788.
I know so many of the Block numbers not given in
the Escrituras listings that I thought it would
help Mr. Cubanes if I gave the Escrituras directional

This covers 24 houses, all of Treasury part of Charlotte,
all of Bl. "P" and specifically 205-211.

The end of each report gives recitation of owners,, occupations
if known and Escrituras numbers to check.

Briefly, Sq."P" No. 205 was the Perez place on Charlotte street
side. No. 211 was the site actually of the SNOW home today.
It was the Espinosa place. Odd that in 1785 Fish sells the
Perez place to Espinosa's sister, Josepha Mrs. Juan Perez.
This was the lady, coming home after the British left, bringing
all her Sanchez nieces and nephews. One of them, Bernadino
is found renting the Perez place to tuan Josef de la Toro in
1788(Rocque) Sn. 17, No. 127. Toro was son of Rosalia Ponce de
Leon (Mrs. Juan de la Toro, Sr.) who lived on Treasury and
was one of the houses researched in this report.

Expect Assignment No. 6 about
August 1st if Jlcky..

This is only a .ery rough guii:e line. It is not
meant to convey sizes, bouniries...etc..It is drawn
to show names, numbers and general ar-:!. Consult 1763 i:
