SUPPORT SERVICES









CERVEAU HOUSE: 26 Cuna Street (Block 7 Lot 10). Wood frame construction split shingled
roof; two-story. 3,017 square feet; constructed ca. 1885. Acquired by Board in 1966.

MECHANICAL: Central heat and air, first and second floor
WIRING: adequate
PLUMBING: restrooms on first and second floors

Maintenance needs: None at present

Life Safety Corrections Needed: sprinkler system funded for FY 93/94

ADA Compliance Status: Funds for Handicap accessible ramp requested J9O

Present Use: Interpretive section offices, kitchen facility and clothing storage work area.

Recommended use: Interpretive Section Office, Kitchen facilities and clothing storage work area.

Considerations: This structure is conveniently located, abutting the grounds of the Spanish Quarter
Museum and is adequate in size for present and planned uses. Alternative locations for these
functions were considered but rejected because of their less convenient locations.

TRIAY HOUSE: 29 St. George Street (Block 7 Lot 2). Masonry structure, stucco outside, plaster
inside; hand split shingle roof. Erected by the Board 1964/65.

MECHANICAL: New air conditioning unit
WIRING: Satisfactory for building needs
PLUMBING: None

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: No maintenance needed at present other than inside painting.

LIFE SAFETY ISSUES: None

ADA COMPLIANCE STATUS: Accessible

PRESENT USE: Spanish Quarter Museum entrance area.

RECOMMENDED USE: Group holding and orientation area

CONSIDERATIONS: With the development of the Florencia House as the entrance and Museum
site area the Triay house, located just to the north of the Florencia House, is the ideal location for
the recommended function.

FLORENCIA HOUSE: 33 St. George Street (Block 7 Lot 3). Front half of structure masonry;
rear half wood construction; hand split shingled roof; front half flat built-up roof. Erected by the
Board in 1965.

MECHANICAL: front half central heat and air: rear half- window units for heat and air
WIRING: Electrical system -v-erladteat-present
PLUMBING: Restrooms adjacent to the building

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Wuud-siding rear o di -need repair in near- future. Inside
needs painting

LIFE SAFETY ISSUES: None

ADA COMPLIANCE STATUS: Funds requested for FY 94/95 to make wheel chair accessible

PRESENT USE: Leased as a restaurant facility

RECOMMENDED USE: Entrance area and Museum Store for the Spanish Quarter Museum

CONSIDERATIONS: The issue of the best location for the entrance area and museum store has
been explored over the past 6 months by the Museum Store Committee. Their recommendation (to
utilize this structure for a new entrance area and museum store site) has already been taken to,
and approved by, the Board.

purposes or leasing for commercial purposes.

CONSIDERATIONS: Future consideration should be given utilizing this structure and the coquina
warehouse and surrounding property for program purposes or leased out for commercial purposes.

LIFE SAFETY ISSUES: None

ADA COMPLIANCE STATUS: Funds approved for FY 93/94 to bring into compliance

PRESENT USE: Public restrooms

RECOMMENDED USE: Public restrooms

CONSIDERATIONS: Efforts should be made by this agency to have this facility open during the
evening hours, when the merchants in the immediate area are operating during the evening. This
public restroom is maintained by H.S.A.P.B. because of the other properties it leases on St.George
Street and Cuna Street that do not have public restrooms.
