Highlights Smoking on Campus Notes From the Office Birthdays Manners T h e ELI Weekly No Smoking on Campus! Students, the ELI has received complaints about ELI students smoking on campus in front of and near Norman Hall. We are very concerned both because students are in violation of the regulations, and because this is creating a very negative image for all international students on campus. Please respect the campus rules and regulations, as well as city ordinances. Thi s means you should not be smoking anywhere on campus, or on the private property surrounding Norman Hall. You also should be throwing away your cigarette butts in the trash. If you break this law, you could face a large fine. Please help us by following the rules. If ELI students continue to smoke on campus, there could be long term serious consequences. Please remember, those who smoke on campus are also creating negative stereotypes about people from their countries. Thank you for your help!
