We look forward to our work together. Welcome Thomasenia! We would also like to thank Dr John Kranzler for his years of service as Interim ADR. We enjoyed his tenure among us and wish him well as he returns to his work as Professor of School Psychology in SSESPECS. We will miss you, John! Here is a highlight from SESPECS Director, Jean Crockett: Internal Funding for UF Psychiatry & Special Education collaboration: One of Joe Gagnon's first collaborativ e efforts with UF psychiatry has resulted in internal UF funding. Joe is a C o pi on the following project, giving in kind time for his work Community Engagement and Research Program titled : C ulturally Appropriate Educational Materials for African A merican Adolescents with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity This collaborative research consists of a multidisciplinary community academic partnership between the University of Florida and the Reichert House Youth Academy to engage at risk African American adolescents and their families in a health literacy intervention to create culturally appropriate photo novels to improve ADHD treatment adherence.
