Dear Dr. Calderon Cruzs
Best wishes from Washington. I have been a member of the
Association for the past three or four years, and have
attended the meetings in Jamaica and St. Kitts.
Last fall, Alma Young forwarded a letter of mine to you
in which I requested the addresses of several CSA members
in order to write them for copies of papers on Caribbean
migration that they had given at various CSA meetings.
On December 4 and December 5, I called you at 767-0321,
and left a message for you with my request.
It may very well be that you never received any of these
communications; I know that it must be difficult to run CSA
with what I can well imagdqi is a very small support staff
(if any exists at all). Yet as a CSA member, it would greatly
assist me in my work if I could have these addresses.
The persons with whom I should like to communicate are
as follows: Can4bbell Malone, "Migration of Caribbean Pro-
fessionals to the U.S.A." (1981 CSA meeting)l Robert A. Myers,
"Emigration's Impact: A Review of the Literature for the Bri-
tish and Dutch Islands, with Special Attention to Dominica?
(1979 mooting); and Wim Koot, "Causes for the Lack of Mass
Emigration to the Netherlands Antilles"((1977 meeting).
Frank Mills, who looked for the papers in his own and Simon
Jones-Hendrickson&s files, assured me that you would be most
helpful if I wrote to you -- they could locate none of the
papers or addresses.
Also, I have not yet had any word on the 1985 meeting in Puerto
Richb and would very much appreciate receiving a program,
however preliminary. All best wishes.
Sincerely,
Elsa M. Chaney

Dear Alma:
I am trying to track down a couple of CSA papers, and don't
know where to find the authors. Would you have the addresses
(either in CSA newsletter list, or in the respective programs
for the meetings) of the following persons?:
1. Campbell Malone, "Migration of Caribbean Professionals
to the USA: Causes and Effects." Paper presented
at the Sixth Annual Meeting of the CSA, Charlotte
Amalie, USVI, May 1981.
2. Robert A. Myers, "Emigration's Impact: A Review of
the Literature for the British and Dutch Islands,
with Special Attention to Dominica, W.I. Paper
presented at the Fourth Andual Meeting of the CSA,
Fort-de-France, Martinique, 1979.
Shall certainly appreciate receiving these addresses, if you
have them -- either current from newsletter list, or from the
programs.
Am finishing up a Fulbright research grant here in Jamaica,
and will be returning to Maryland in early November. Please
use the address below. All best wishes, and many thanks!
Sincerely,
Elsa M. Chaney
