NAIS Premises ID Registration

A lot has been said about animal Identification and
the need for a national system for monitoring
disease. One part of the proposed system includes
the registration of farm premises. According to the
USDA regulations, all farms with livestock are
expected to complete a NAIS Premises ID
Application as a part of the animal identification
system.

Dairy farms in Georgia should contact the Georgia
Department of Agriculture in Atlanta. In Florida,
the contact is the Animal Industry Division of the
Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer
Services in Tallahassee.
