 Notes
Scope and Content: "Manuel Mamani, Chilean Aymara speaker and Professor of Music at Tarapacá University in Arica, Chile, transcribed the singing of Nicanor Perez Luciani, Kawki speaker, of Chavín, Yauyos, Lima, Perú in his description of the canal cleaning ceremony of his youth. This is the transcription that Prof. Mamani gave me. He erroneously thought that the language was Jaqaru rather than Kawki. The whole of the transcription is here; the pieces are also found with the music in actual text, placed there as pictures."
