Description: This colonial building exhibits architectural elements of both the Hispanic and British styles. It features coquina masonry walls on the first floor and wood frame covered with lapped siding on second floor. The gable
roof is covered with wood shingles. Wooden balconies are found on the east, north, and south sides. It also features: concrete tabby floors on first floor and wood floors on second floor and attic; fully finished attic space;
exposed wood beam ceiling on the first floor, plaster walls and ceilings throughout the balance of the building; plumbing facilities on third floor; separate electric services for the first and second floors, both adequate for current use; and
separate central heat and air conditioning for the first and second floors.

Date Acquired: 1959; Restored in 1961.
Acquired Through: Purchase.
Deed Restrictions: None Known.

Condition: Good. However, see life safety and ADA compliance below.

Life Safety Issues: Recent inspection by the State Fire Marshall indicates serious problems concerning access to the second and third floors. Resolution of these problems must await receipt of Fire Marshall's report.
Also, the electrical conduit and refrigerant lines cross an interior door opening. These are covered with a wood ramp. Consideration should be given to re-routing overhead or below the floor.

ADA Compliance Status: Not in compliance. Requires wheelchair access ramp.

Estimated Cost to Meet City Standard: This will hinge upon the State Fire Marshall's recommendations, and could range up to $40,000.
